How do I know if my roof needs a repair or a full replacement? Three things usually settle it: the age of the shingles, how much of the surface shows damage, and whether the decking underneath is still sound. Isolated damage on a roof under fifteen years old is usually a repair. Widespread granule loss, several active leaks or soft decking on an older roof points toward replacement, and we show you the photos either way so the decision is not just our word against a guess.
How long does a roof replacement take? Most homes in the Plano area are finished in one to two working days once materials are on site, though steep pitches, larger roofs or unexpected decking repairs can add time. We tell you before the crew starts, not partway through the job.
Storm and insurance questions
Do you help with insurance claims after a storm? Yes. We document the damage with dated photos, measure the affected slopes and write the findings in the same line item format an adjuster expects. You file the claim, and we make sure nothing gets missed at the inspection stage. We can also meet the adjuster on site if that helps move things along.
What if my roof is leaking right now? Describe it as an active leak when you reach out, and we prioritize getting a temporary cover on it the same day where we can, then schedule the permanent repair once the immediate risk is handled properly.
Remodeling and scheduling questions
Can you handle a remodel and a roof repair at the same time? We can, and we sequence them so the roof and any exterior water issues are fixed first, since finishing an interior room under an unresolved leak wastes money. Interior work follows once the building envelope is sound.
How far out do you work from Plano? Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Richardson, Murphy and Wylie are all within our regular service area, and we schedule those the same way we do closer to home.
