Frisco has grown fast, and a lot of that growth means newer roofs that still need the right maintenance to reach their full life.

Newer builds, different weak points

Homes built in Frisco over the last fifteen years tend to have steeper roof pitches and better decking than older housing stock elsewhere in the county, but the trade off is more roof surface exposed to wind, since these subdivisions often sit on more open ground than the tree covered neighborhoods closer to Dallas.

Builder grade shingles on some of these homes are rated for a minimum wind speed rather than what a strong spring front actually delivers here, and that gap shows up as lifted tabs and creased shingles a few years earlier than the shingle warranty would suggest.

Working around active neighborhoods

A lot of our Frisco calls come from homeowners associations with rules about dumpster placement, work hours and material storage on the driveway. We plan around those rules before the crew shows up, so a job does not stall over a placement issue that could have been sorted out in advance.

Commercial roofing along the tollway corridor

The retail and office growth along the Dallas North Tollway corridor through Frisco has brought more flat roof and low slope commercial work into our schedule, and we handle those the same way we do in Plano, scheduled around business hours with the site kept contained throughout the project.

Storm response in Frisco

Frisco sees the same spring storm pattern as the rest of Collin County, and because so many roofs here are still within their original warranty period, we pay close attention to documenting damage properly so a claim does not run into a dispute over whether an issue predates the storm. Photos taken close to the event settle most of those questions before they become an argument with an adjuster.

We also see a fair number of Frisco calls tied to new construction defects rather than storms, since a fast growing area sometimes means crews under pressure to move to the next house on the schedule. A flashing detail rushed on move in day shows up as a leak a year or two later, and we check for that possibility on any newer Frisco roof we are asked to inspect.
